I’m on the hunt for a better fountain pen – and wanting to compare my current pen’s nib size to other nibs that I’m looking at. Richard Binder has some great pens and has been helping me decide on what to get. In case it might help others, I’m going to post some close-up pictures of my Rotring black metal fountain pen’s nib. The nib is marked as “M” and appears to be just a hair shy of one millimeter wide.
The next image shows the actual width of the nib better than the top-down image above because there are fewer shadows and the point in right between the lines.
This next image is a little tough to read because of the shadows – and because the nib is slightly turned to show more of the top part of the pen.
